I’m using Alienware M17 with RTX 3080 and 64GB RAM. Yes, it’s a laptop. So far it had no problems working with heavy scenes, 5-6GB is an easy task for this machine.
In addition, you probably noticed that there’s something different the way renders look now with VRay 6. Metals and reflections got more depth and detail – thanks to new algorithm for preserving metal reflections. Which we will discuss in the future.
But in a meantime, download a free trail of VRay 6 – and give it a test ride – it’s FREE!
Just make sure you don’t fall in love, it’s hard to go back to VRay 5 after trying it.
